It is a must read for people who understand the society about which the book is written . It is really worth your time .

“Of all the hardships a person had to face, none was more punishing than the simple act of waiting”,

my favorite quote from the book

The story is mainly focused on the lives of two women

A thousand splendid suns is a very good book why? Because it really touches your heart. it is a book about the endurance of a women ,

It has so many emotions in just one book put together , love as in romance , as in a parent child relationship and in a sister to sister relationship , I agree that this book has many sad parts , and it will make you cry for sure . It has many deaths but the story is portrayed so damn beautifully. The writing style is very good especially how everything is going with the flow and then suddenly a big turn in the plot and the way the author ads up 1+1, There is a lot of sacrifice , endurance, pain, loss, giving, also cruelty in some parts . It also has short parts about the soviet Invasion in Afghanistan, the hardships and loss of people in that time. Over all I want to say that the author did an awesome job. The book comes to points where you think it will be over, but then a hope always arises. I really do not want to spoil the whole this but the book has so many emotions, and don’t worry about the ending to be sad and not read it, it is satisfying. this book really changed my opinions about many things . its a must read for girls

I say – “they are sister united by heart, if not by blood (Miriam and Laila)
